The MAG-South Swim Club competes as part of the Magnus Aquatic Group (MAG), and is an athlete centered program within a coach directed environment.
The Philosophy of MAG-South is to train and develop competitive swimmers. The goal of the team is to provide age appropriate, quality training for swimmers and produce outstanding young men and women that realize their full swimming and personal potential. MAG-South's training program encourages young people to develop the character and self-discipline necessary to succeed not only in swimming but also in life. MAG-South practice sessions emphasize stroke technique along with endurance and strength training.
SWIMMERS
MAG-South swimmers can range in age from 6 to 21. The swimmers are grouped into five distinct practice groups (Mini-MAGs, Age Group I & II, and Senior I & II) in accordance with their abilities and swimming goals. A description of the practice groups can be found in the Practice Group Overview. Swim lessons are provided by NHF Swim School (508-252-4084).
